Responsibilities:
Review repair orders and consult with the supervisor to clarify job details and priorities.
Examine engines while running, perform road tests, and use computerized diagnostic tools and testing equipment to identify and isolate mechanical or electrical issues.
Service, repair, or replace faulty components in various automotive systems such as fuel delivery, braking, suspension and steering, engine and drivetrain, emissions and exhaust, cooling and HVAC, and electrical systems using both standard and specialized tools.
Conduct performance tests and calibrate systems to meet manufacturer specifications after repairs.
Carry out routine maintenance tasks including oil and filter changes, lubrication, and engine tune-ups.
Communicate with customers regarding the work completed, the current condition of their vehicle, and any recommended future repairs or maintenance.
